T.I.P.S. Teachers Involve Parents in Schoolwork(TIPS) Interactive Homework
TIPS features interactive homework assignments that require students to talk to someone at home about something interesting that they are learning in class. TIPS homework is the student's responsibility, and enables students to share with parents the things that they are learning in class. TIPS helps solve some important problems with homework:
~ It helps all families become involved. ~ It makes homework the student's responsibility. ~ It asks students to share and enjoy their work, ideas, and progress with their families. ~ It links skills learned in school to the "real world". ~ It allows families to comment and/or request information from the teacher.
TIPS in Our Classroom
We will be using TIPS for our nightly math homework assignments. Your child will be given a new TIPS packet at the beginning of each week. The packet must be completed and returned to school every Friday in order for your child to receive full credit . Students are held responsible for their own TIPS assignments.
